[IHHAAC Update] South County Coalition Against Crime

Dear Friends:

The South County Coalition Against Crime is assisting Explorer Post No. 1004, based out of Police District IV in Forest Heights, to raise funds to pay for the scouts to attend the 2008 Law Enforcement Exploring Conference at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, July 21-26. 

As you know, Prince George's County has continuing difficulty recruiting enough quality applicants to meet our needs. One of the more reliable sources of quality recruits is the Boy Scout affiliated Explorers program focused on law enforcement. Accordingly, the South County Coalition is assisting the Explorers to raise the necessary funds for them to attend this annual conference.

While substantial funds already have been raised, an additional $2,600 is needed by June 2 (cut-off date for purchasing cut-rate airline tickets), otherwise some of the members of the troop will not be able to attend. 

We are asking for donations of any amount. Checks should be made out to "PGPD Explorer Post 1004". Call us at 301-839-4764 and we will pick up the checks and deliver them to the Police Dept.
